1. Chinese Language Program:

Duration : half to two years (two semesters in one academic year).

The Spring semester starts in March, while the autumn starts in September. Courses offered are Chinese Listening Comprehension, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Reading and Comprehensive Chinese as well as other selective courses.

Class Arrangement: 20 teaching hours per week from Monday to Friday, for 18 weeks a semester. The students will be streamed into different classes according to their Chinese level and duration of study.

2. Short-term Intensive Chinese Program

Duration: 4-6 weeks.

Language in Class : either in Mandarin or Cantonese according to the students' requirement. HSK (a National examination for Chinese fluency as a second language) Intensive Training will be arranged before test. The time and content of the program can be tailored according to the requirements of the group of 8 or above persons.

3. Short-term Chinese Social & Cultural Immersion Program

Duration : 2-6 weeks. Size: above 8 persons.

The courses are offered in English but also can be tailored : Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, Chinese Martial Art, Traditional Chinese Festivals and Customs, Chinese Education, Chinese Food, Traditional Chinese Medicine, China 's Economic Development, Chinese Ethnic Groups, Religion in China and Modern China. Field trips are tailored: schools, the countryside, factories, famous architecture and buildings as well as the famous scenic sites. Other activities will be arranged.

4. Other Refresher Courses or Programs offered for Higher Education Diplomas or Degrees

Those with High School Certificate or Bachelor's Degree diploma, if meeting the requirements to the major and Chinese language level (at least with HSK grade level 4), can apply for undergraduate admission or postgraduate admission.
