Maple Leaves in Autumn China
The viewing of red maple leaves is a marked occasion for Chinese citizens every autumn. As Beijing's Fragrant Hills mountain is crammed as ever with people coming to see the autumn foliage, Guanmen Mountain Forest Park in Benxi, northeast China's Liaoning province is also seeing an increasing number of tourists. The park is home to over 120 varieties of maple trees which make it a popular destination for autumn excursions. This group of photos taken on Sunday, October 14, 2012 shows the park in all its glory after being taken over by flaming red maple leaves.
