Founded in 1958, Yancheng Teachers University (YCTU) is situated in Yancheng, a coastal city on the Yellow Sea and 200 miles to the northwest of Shanghai. YCYU provides a University education for over 19,800 students, including 13,000 full-timers, in its 16 schools, offering 45 bachelor programmes, 28 of which are non-pedagogy-oriented.
YCTU covers an area of 160 hectare, with a floorage of over 500,000m2. The University Library stocks collections in excess of 1,300,000 items and subscribes to some 1,300 journal titles. The easy access to the Internet, the up-to-date teaching, living and sports facilities all on the 3 beautiful welcoming campuses readily lends itself for a rich learning and living experience at the University.
