Beijing International Arts School is a public secondary school approved by the Beijing Education Committee with an extensive history performing the functions for international exchanges. We are qualified to recruit students from home and abroad and are an important base for producing professional artists.

We are located in the Beijing Economic & Technological Development Area (BDA), surrounded by a beautiful neighborhood and within walking distance to all major public transportation. We are equipped with first-class teaching facilities and a campus area of 34000 square meters. There are nearly 30 modern training halls, sound labs, computer rooms, painting workshops and multimedia classrooms. A beautiful- quiet campus with comfortable student dormitories and a modern dining hall provides a perfect environment for students to study, dine and recreate.

Currently we offer Dance, Fine Arts, Martial Art, Performance and Acrobatics. A graduation certificate will be awarded upon a satisfactory completion of study. An average day of study includes a half-day of academic courses and with the remaining half placing emphasis on major study. We employ many well-experienced middle-aged teachers and some newly graduated excellent young teachers. In addition, we invite renowned instructors and professors, from art colleges and universities, to give lectures or seminars in all majors regularly. We use the same textbooks as academic institutions to teach our students. Our goal is to produce high quality students for arts colleges and universities, and excellent professional artists for specialized art troupes, enterprises and institutions.

We implement the educational concept of “Strict Management, Scientific Education” and unceasingly seek the scientific way of management of arts school. We try our best to promote development, in order to bring up excellent persons in arts circles. Since 1999, the foundation of our school, the level of our teaching is approved by related specialists. We receive remarkable achievements. In the year of 2003, our school passed through the evaluation from education inspector office of Beijing municipal government, and became the advanced vocational school in 2006. Since the foundation of our school, our students of Acrobatics play very important roles in home and abroad competitions. They have won 9 gold medals independently, and have won 8 gold medals with acrobatic performers, which complement our bringing honor to the country. Our students of Martial Art speciality receive excellent results in the national martial competition in 2006. There are four students who receive the name of national first-rank athlete.

We often receive VIP foreign guests and friends who visit our school and also have trained a large number of foreign students from Russia , Vietnam , Korea , Japan , France , America , Spain and so on. Transforming BJIAS into a nationwide model in secondary art schools has been listed on the fifteen-year-plans for Beijing Municipal Cultural Development Programs.
