Pakistani Squad to Attend Vietnam Sailing Festival
A seven-member Pakistan Sailing Federation (PSAF) contingent including five sailors and two officials will leave for Vietnam on Tuesday to take part in the International Sailing Festival-2011 scheduled to be held in Vietnam from March 17 to 20.
Pakistan and other 15 countries such as Britain, Russia, India, France, Thailand, Malaysia will feature in the festival in Phan Thiet City.
According to PSAF Secretary General Cmdr (retd) Noor-ul-Islam, Pakistan is going to participate in the 470 class and the laser class competitions at the event.
Meanwhile, the PSAF held a prize distribution ceremony to award the winners of the 10 events of the Karachi Week Grand Sailing Regatta that concluded on March 6.
The Secretary General expressed his satisfaction over the successful holding of the sailing event on such a grand scale for the first time in Pakistan.
