A Profile of ZUST
Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is a full-time regular public university, which focuses on engineering, with additional disciplines in science, arts, economics, management, and education. Combining the technical know-how of German Applied Science Universities with its own experience, ZUST explores ways of cultivating international specialists with applied skills.
ZUST is located in
ZUST is designated by the Chinese Government as a pilot institution of Chinese-German cooperation in cultivating high-level career-focused talents, as the standing organizer of “Chinese-German Education Forum”, and as one of the first ten local pilot universities of implementing the national project of “Cultivating Excellent Engineers”. At present, ZUST has set up 5 English-taught bachelor degree programs such as Civil Engineering, International Marketing, International Economics and Trade, Computer Science and Technology (Information Technology), Information and Computational Science (Statistics and Financial Actuarial Science). Meanwhile, ZUST established bachelor degree program of Business Chinese for Chinese language beginners, and is ready to receive transfer students with Chinese language basic. With the deep development of international cooperation and the establishment of distinctive undergraduate majors, the number of international students is increasing significantly. In 2012, more than 800 international students from 80 countries are studying on the campus.
Why ZUST
1. ZUST is a public university directly under the guidance of Zhejiang Provincial Government and funded by Chinese Government and German Government through national projects.
2. All international students are eligible to apply for “Chinese Government Scholarship”, “Confucius Institute Scholarship”, “Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students” and “ZUST Scholarship for International Students”.
3. ZUST offers international English-taught bachelor degree programs such as national-level key major --Civil Engineering, provincial-level key major-- International Economics and Trade, International Marketing, Computer Science and Technology (Information Technology), and Information and Computational Science(Statistics and Financial Actuarial Science). Students can be enrolled without any Chinese language entry requirements.

1. Applicants applying for Architectures, Urban Planning and Digital Media Technology should have some basic skills of arts and painting, abilities of aesthetic appreciation and affective thinking. Otherwise, students will encounter difficulties and it is difficult to complete their studies.

Fees
For Self-financed International Students
1. Application Fee: RMB 400 Yuan or USD80.
2. Books and Learning Materials: Students attending Chinese language courses pay RMB 300 Yuan per semester in advance. The university will return the overcharge and demand payment of the shortage.
3. Tuition Fees:
1) Study Tour Program: Fees depend on the tailored programs.
2) Chinese Language Program: RMB 6,500 Yuan/semester or 13,000 Yuan/year.
3) General Advanced Study Program: the same as bachelor degree program
4) Bachelor Degree Program in Chinese: RMB 15,000 Yuan/year
5) Bachelor Degree Program in English:
RMB 16,000 Yuan/year for English-taught majors of International Economics & Trade and International Marketing.
RMB 18,000 Yuan/year for English-taught majors of Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Technology (Information Technology), and Information and Computational Science (Statistics and Financial Actuarial Science).
4. Accommodation:
1) Single Room: RMB 1200 Yuan/month (1-student shared), including water bill and internet bill. Electricity bills should be paid by students themselves.
2) Double-bed Room: RMB 600 Yuan/month/person (2-student shared), including water bill and internet bill. Electricity bills should be paid by students themselves.
3) Room Deposit: RMB 1000 Yuan. It will be returned if all equipment is in good condition when students check out.
There are bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bookshelf, TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, heater, shower in the room, public washing machine and public kitchen.
5. Insurance Fee: RMB 300 Yuan for half an academic year or 600 Yuan for a year. All students are required to purchase local insurance.
6. Beddings: RMB 350 Yuan, if needed.
7. Electricity Fee Prepaid: RMB 1000 Yuan.
