Mexican university, city gov't offer grants for China study
MEXICO CITY, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The Mexico City government and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) are offering grants for 15 urban development specialists to travel to Beijing for four months of study, the UNAM said on Monday.
Applicants must present a project that can be studied in China and applied in Mexico City, and suggested topics include economic development, water, energy, ecology, electronic government, civil protection, health, public security, tourism, education, telecommunications, transport, waste management and housing.
Each project must be based on a successful case study in China and include plans for its immediate implementation in Mexico City, said the UNAM.
Once chosen, the specialists will start their study in China in August.
