Verinal Equinox -the most spring day of the spring

Yestday was Verinal Equinox, or Spring Equinox, the fourth solar terms in the total twenty-four in China. It is the middle of the spring. The Verinal Equinox usually lies on 20 or 21 of March every year, when the sun directly blazes down the equator, for which the on that day the night and day are equal in length.

Since it is the middle of the spring, the weather is really comfortable. Most members of the nature come to their flourishing season. The peach flowers burst into bloom and the willows sprouts, decorating the spring with rich colors. 

In this day, the farmers become the busiest people. As a saying goes, "Vernal Equinox up wheat, fertilizer to keep up." Because the earth has the most water and nutrients, the wheat and stresses at the moment soar green. 

It is no doubt that China is an powerful country in agriculture. So people, especially farmers, pay a lot attention to crops. They has been observing the influence of the weather since ancient time, and thus work out the twenty four solar terms that are closely related to the important period of cultivation. And in the process of the cultivation, sowing seeds is the most important one which will influence all the harvest at the end. As the Verinal Equinox is the most suitable day for sowing seeds for its abundant water and rich nutrients, farmers seize the opportunity of this day and bury themselves in busy work of sowing seeds. There is no wonder we can see busy farmers on that day.
