Jilin University (JLU) is a leading national university under the direct jurisdiction of China's Ministry of Education. Located in Changchun, the capital city of Jilin Province in Northeastern China, the University has eight campuses in five districts which are home to thirty-nine colleges covering eleven academic disciplines, including philosophy, economics, law, literature, education, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, and management. There will be apartment to your satisfaction in terms of its area, price, and setup in it. Jilin University owns five halls of residence for international students on its campuses, such as the Friendship Hall, all of which have nice and quiet surroundings with strong academic atmosphere. In the Friendship Hall, your options include single or double rooms furnished with necessary facilities such as bed, bookshelf, chair, desk, showerhead, satellite-TV, telephone, and the Internet. Each floor in the hall also provides public facilities such as kitchen and washing-machine (insert coins to operate). Norman Bethune College of Medicine, Jilin University, with a history of more than 70 years, was named after the outstanding Canadian thoracic surgeon, Norman Bethune because of his selfless devotion to the set-up and running of the institution more than half a century ago. It is an important base with considerable scale and academic ability of medical education and research. It consists of three main teaching hospitals and school of basic medicine. Apart from the three main teaching hospitals, there are more than 30 cooperative hospitals that provide internship resources for medical students of Norman Bethune College of Medicine. Capitalizing on the educational priority of a key comprehensive university, the college aims at cultivating clinical medical professionals at international level by providing medical education that is up to international standard. Since more than half a century, the institution has trained over fifty thousand medical professionals and contributed a lot in the development of medical science, medical education and public health in China.
