Xinjiang Medical University (XMU) was founded in 1956 and has developed into a modern comprehensive Western and traditional Chinese medical institution that focuses on teaching, researching and medical treatment. We have cultivated more than 50,000 medical talents at all levels. XMU consists of 17 colleges and departments including the TCM College, Public Health College, and International Education College etc. In addition, there are 6 directly-affiliated hospitals. The students’ populations on campus are over 18,000, including 700 plus international students. It has a complete specialist training system of 29 undergraduate programs, 17 professional programs, 3 mobile postdoctoral centers, 4 doctoral degree programs, 5 first-level-subjects master’s degree programs and 48 second-level-subjects master’s degree programs. XMU has also been qualified by the Ministry of Education as 1 of the 25 national universities to recruit international students for medical programs via the media of English. Students from all over the world are warmly welcome to study at Xinjiang Medical University.
