About CUMT
 
China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), founded in 1909, is one of the key national universities under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China and  is a well-known university listed among the nation’s “211 Project”.
CUMT is a multi-disciplinary university, offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate level education in a wide variety of programs in engineering, sciences, liberal arts, economic, law, education, philosophy and arts, etc.
 
In the past 100 years, CUMT has produced more than 100,000 graduates, among which 10 are academicians in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Engineering, 20 are ministers and provincial governors and as well as a large number of successful professors, entrepreneurs, engineers who have excelled in their fields. The university currently boasts 6 academicians of the Academy of Engineering, 317 professors and 478 associate professors.
 
CUMT has two campuses in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, which cover an area of 297 hectares. At present, the student population exceeds 40,000, of which about 25,900 are undergraduate students and 9,000 are postgraduate students.
 
CUMT has a long history of recruiting international students, which dates back to the 1950s. Today, CUMT has about two hundred international students from 29 countries.
 
CUMT has 22 schools, offering 59 undergraduate programs, over 100 hundred graduate programs, more than 50 PhD programs, and a few non-degree programs as well. In 2014, CUMT offers the following programs for international Students
