GU’s Influence of Information Release Rank Top among Universalities in China

According to the Informatizatioin Development Report of Higher Education Institutions 2011 which is released by the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education, GU’s website (www.gzhu.edu.cn) ranks the 59th among all the universities websites in Chinese mainland by Alexa, and its influence of information release ranks the 54th in Chinese mainland by the ranking web of world universities.


The ranking results above cannot go without the effort GU has been dedicated to informatization since 2009 when the university senior leadership identified informatization as one of the main tasks and core competitiveness in the Working Report of Accelerating Informatization . Recent years have witnessed the first phase, the second phase and the third phase of campus digitalization in GU, which helps to improve the construction and application of information. 


For the record, Alexa is a professional website to rank all the websites in the world according to their viewer rate, while Ranking web of world universities is a Spain-based research center (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas, CSIC) to measure the influence of information released by higher education institutions based on Presence, Impact, Openness, Excellence and other parameters.
